The Nigeria Police has lost one of it finest officers, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Omololu Bishi.
Bishi, a thoroughbred police officer, was among the officers promoted to the rank of AIG in December last year.
He was, prior to his recent elevation, the Deputy Commissioner of police in charge of the Airport Command, Lagos and Commissioner of Police, Ogun and Benue States respectively.
An indigene of Lagos state, Bishi, who also was
in charge of Armament reportedly died on Monday, after a brief illness and was buried today at the Ebony Vault in Lagos.
“AIG Bishi was a dedicated officers. He was not among those schemers who lobbied for positions or promotions. He was ready to serve wherever he was posted.
It was very unfortunate that he died at a time his wealth of experience was needed in the Nigeria Police” said a police officer, who eulogised the late cop yesterday.
