Dino Melaye

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has started the process of recalling a senator from Kogi State, Dino Melaye whose constituents want recalled.
INEC released the time table to that effect on Monday, July 3 indicating that the process will start on July 10 and end sometime in August.
Kogi West Senatorial District that Melaye represents says the senator has not provided effective representation and that he makes only noise at the Chanbers of the Senate without attracting any project to his people.
But the senator had dismissed the recall threat, blaming it on his governor, Yahaya Bello and other political detractors.
He insisted that the names of those who were said to have signed for his recall were ghosts and that in the fullness of time those behind the move would be exposed.
Melaye had however approached the court to stop INEC from heeding his constituents call until the latest move by the Commission releasing his recall time table.
