Anti Party Activities: PDP Expels Chimaroke Nnamani, Fayose’s Son, Ogbu, Others

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled a former Governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani, Hon. Chris Ogbu (Imo State), former Ekiti State Governor’s son, John Fayose, and other chieftains of the main opposition party.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Debo Ologunagba, said in a statement on Friday that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) approved the expulsion of the party chieftains at its 566th meeting on Friday (today), for “anti-Party activities and other grave offences in violation of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017).”

Also expelled were Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji, Olayinka James Olalere, Akerele Oluyinka and Emiola Adenike Jennifer.

Ologunagba explained that the decision of the NWC, followed the recommendation of the party’s National Disciplinary Committee and pursuant to Sections 58 and 59 (1)(g) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).

“The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at its 566th meeting today, Friday, February 10, 2023, approved the expulsion of the following individuals from the Party for anti-Party activities and other grave offences in violation of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017),” the statement read.
