Emotions ran high on Saturday , November 26 when news of the death of revolutionary leader of Cuba , Fidel Castro was broken.
Castro was born in 1926 and he died at the ripe age of 90.
He became leader of the country in 1959 through a revolution and was credited for introducing communism as a former of government in Cuba.
During Fidel’s rule , his country suffered from political and economic sanctions placed on Cuba as a result of his insistent that the country must fashion her own convenient way of government.
As Cuba’s president , Fidel worked so hard to stabilise the economy of the country , including making the country one of the best destinations on medical matters.
The news of his passage was celebrated by Cubans most of who said Fidel cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
His brother , Raul , who broke news of Fidel’s death admonished his country men to remember him in their prayers.
Fidel handed over the leadership of Cuba to Raul few years ago because he wanted someone who will protect the legacy he built in the country.
President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the government and people of Cuba over Fidel’s death.
A statement by Buhari’s media adviser , Femi Adesina , said Fidel’s place in history is assured.
