Former Foreign Affairs Ambassador , Bagudu Hirse , taken from Kaduna on Saturday , November 20 , was released by his kidnappers on Saturday , November 26.
The police in Kaduna State have confirmed his release.
It could not ascertained whether Hirse paid ransom to his abductors before his release was secured.
During the week , security operatives worked on different clues on how to set him free from his abductors .
Government had mandated them to ensure his release because of the report that Hirse had gone to visit the cousin to President Muhammadu Buhari , Mamman Daura , in Kaduna who happened to be playing host to Buhari’s Chief of Staff , Abba Kyari .
Hirse had gone on a condolence visit over the death , recently , of the Sultan of Sokoto , Ibrahim Dasuki .
