President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to resume work immediately going by the thinking of his spokesman Femi Adesina.
Adesina said Buhari will transmit a letter to the Senate this morning announcing his return from medical vacation and readiness to assume office once more after 105 days of sojourn in London.
Though the Senate is on vacation, Adesina said Buhari did not need to wait for the senators to read and debate his letter before he resumes.
Adesina said the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo did well implementing the agenda of Buhari- led administration and that now the president is Buhari will continue from where Osinbajo left off.
He reiterated that Osinbajo did very well and that Buhari has acknowledged that fact, noting that Buhari hopes to hit the ground running now that his health seems to be a lot better.
However, a lecturer in the University of Lagos Adetokunbo Pearse, a People’s Democratic Party needed to have apologised to Nigerians for his long absence from office.
He said there was nothing in Buhari’s speech that is new going by the state of the economy and insecurity nationwide.
Pearse said Buhari remains non committal as regards the presding needs of the people.
