The Department of State Services (DSS) has released the detained Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president, Joe Ajaero.

The labour leader, who was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday morning on his way to the United Kingdom for a global Trade Union Congress meeting, was reportedly released around past 11pm on Monday.

Ajaero, who confirmed his release, said his travel passport was seized by the secret police.

He said he was quizzed for about 15 hours by police officers at the DSS office in Abuja over the recent nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests and his alleged involvement in terrorism financing with a Briton, Andrew Wynne.

However, ArmadaNews gathered that the NLC president may be arraigned in Abuja soon.
