President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the Nigerian female team , the Super Falcons over their victory on Saturday , December 3, against their Cameroon counterpart, the Indomitable Lionesses at the just concluded African Women Cup of Nation (AWCON) Championship.
The Super Falcons defeated their opponents by a lone goal towards the end of the match scored by Christiana Oparanozie to win the cup for the eighth time in 10 encounters since the competition started.
Buhari lauded the players and their coaches for the hard work he said they deployed to the competition , noting that his administration will continue to support efforts by Nigerian sports men and women who work so hard to put the country on the world map for positive reasons.
