A group of youth under the aegis Coalition of Ideato Youth Leaders have showered encomium on Ezeakonobi Madumere, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, describing him as a great man of integrity, humility, whose unflinching support has in no little way given Governor Rochas Okorocha-led government the needed stability.
The group led by Comrade Philip Amagba made the commendation when they paid Madumere a solidarity visit at his country home at Lake Malinda, Achi-Mbieri in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State.
Amagba who is the Chairman of the coalition and All Progressives Congress Orlu zonal leader said the purpose of their visit was simply to pledge their loyalty and solidarity to him.
Narrating their relationship with the Deputy Governor of the State, he described it as a “worthy age long relationship of great lessons in ideal human relations.”
His word: “Your Excellency, it is not because you are now the Deputy Governor of Imo State. We have known you for a very long time now. Your relationship with our brother, and by extension the people of Ideato nation, which has spanned over two decades is such that is rare to find. You are a good man whose integrity, humility and loyalty have never been doubted even in the most trying moments. We want to thank you for your support to the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.”
In the same vein, Obioha Ikechukwu also eulogised Madumere for his strength of character. He added that the Deputy Governor’s humane and simple lifestyle has remained a model to youths. He assured Madumere of their loyalty and to give him support in any of his future endeavours.
Concluding,Ebere Obiukwu said they are elated at Madumere’s consistency of character.
His words: “For us, Madumere is a model leader who is unassuming, humble, loyal, astute administrator and a very competent leader. We are here in unison to express our happiness for your obstinate cordial relationship with Governor Okorocha. This singular rare effort of Your Excellency has created a stabilized conducive environment for our Governor to be focused in the task of governance.”
Responding to the accolades from the youth leaders of the home town of Governor Okorocha, Madumere described the visit as an emotional one. “I am emotionally moved by this visit. It is remarkable and will remain green in my heart because you did not only come to see me, we worshipped together at the Chapel, we prayed together and I believe that God must have pre-ordained this visit,” he enthused.
He reiterated his unwavered loyalty to Okorocha and expressed gratitude to the Governor for his magnanimity towards him.
He therefore charged the youth group to learn to build themselves with integrity and capacity to get things done. He warned them against sycophancy, describing it destructive and an antithesis of growth and progress in any society.
