The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, on Wednesday, appeared before the Senate adhoc committee investigating the allegations and counter-allegations between him and Senator Isa Misau.
Idris appeared in the company of his lawyer, Alex Iziyon (SAN) and the Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang.
Misau has accused Idris of misappropriating police funds, highhandedness, favouritsm and sexual immorality.
The police charged him to court, however, for allegedly deserting the Force and over forgery. The matter came up on Tuesday.
