Put People’s Interest First In Your Activities, Imo Deputy Governor Tells IPMAN

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Eze Madumere has urged the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Imo State Chapter to always put the interest of the people first in the course of doing business.
Madumere made the call when he played host to the newly elected leadership of the group in Imo Government House, Owerri, Imo State.
The number two citizen of the State while commending the group for their peaceful conduct during their election, described it as requisite character of a progressive body.
He expressed happiness for the choice of Chidiebere Okoroafor, the Managing Director of Ebere Links Petroleum Company, saying that he is eminently qualified following his pedigree and the innovation he brought to bear on the business in the industry.
He therefore charged the chairman to be courageous to deliver on the goals of the organisation, adding that with the caliber of people in the executive, success will be achieved effortlessly.
Madumere also eulogized the immediate past Chairman of the group, Eze Christopher Amadi for his doggedness and rising to the occasion in times of challenges, by ensuring that Imo people did not suffer especially during the industrial action occasioned by sharp disagreements and bitter engagements with some security agencies.
He therefore advised them to continue to work together for the progress of the body.
The Deputy Governor promised the cooperation of Governor Rochas Okorocha-led Rescue Mission administration, assuring that they will not be short-changed in full supply of the State quota.
Earlier in his address, the new Chairman commended Imo State Government for the cooperation it has always accorded the group even under the past leadership. He appealed for the same cooperation whenever the need arises. He promised to put the interest of the people of Imo State first, describing same as a norm in international best practices. He submitted that without the people, they would not be in business, adding that the best way to appreciate them is to ensure effective services at all times.
