Mbaise People’s Congress (MPC) will on Saturday, November 25, honour Miss Victoria Chioma Eluwa, an Mbaise-born best graduating student, Federal University of Technology, Minna.
She will be officially recognized and presented with the Great Mbaise Ambassador Award for the rare feat of finishing first-class and being the best graduating student of the great institution besides winning several other awards in the 2015/2016 academic session of the University.
The National President, MPC, Ano Anyanwu, said: “Miss Victoria Chioma Eluwa is an exceptional Mbaise lady who graduated first-class with a 4.75 CGPA from the reputable Federal University of Technology, Minna. This sets her apart from the rest and therefore entitles her to an award from our highly respected Mbaise People’s Congress. We are proud of our sister and hope this award will encourage her and spur others to emulate her.”
“Miss Eluwa also won five other notable awards: best graduating female; best graduating student school of engineering and engineering technology; best graduating female of the school of engineering and engineering technology; best graduating student, department of chemical engineering and best graduating female, department of chemical engineering,” Anyanwu added.
According to Chuks Enwerem, director of publicity and mobilization, Mbaise People’s Congress, “With this award, Miss Eluwa will join the ranks of other eminent Mbaise sons and daughters who had been previously honoured by Mbaise People’s Congress for their outstanding achievements.
“These include: Maj-Gen Eugene C. G. Nwanguma (Rtd.); Mrs. Carol Anyanwu; Mr. Emeka C. Oparah; Mr. Kelechi Sidney Nwosu; Sir Stanley Amuchie and Chioma Ajunwa.”
Enwerem further informed that Professor Fabian Ajogwu, (SAN) will be the guest speaker while the Right Honourable Emeka Ihedioha immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, will be the Distinguished Guest.
