A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Chris Uba has blamed former governor of Anambra State,Peter Obi for the defeat of the party in the recent governorship election.

The PDP came third in the poll that saw the incumbent governor Willie Obiano of the All Progressive Grand Alliance sweeping the votes.

Uba, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees said in an interview that Obi owes him apology which he expects him to publish in five national newspapers within a week or he would expose what the public does not know about Obi.

Uba regretted that PDP came distant third at the election because of imposition of candidate as well as failure of Obi and his camp to think strategically.

According to Uba, Obi brought PDP governors to Anambra to campaign for his surrogate, Oseloka Obaze even when most of the governors lack capacity to win election themselves.

” Some of the governors cannot win election themselves in their states without me,” he said.

He feared that the PDP is not learning any lesson yet and warned that an attempt at imposing a candidate as the chairman next month will bring the party to its final knees.

Uba however has kind words for Obiano saying he is not just a good man but has shown commitment to the development of the state through his style of governance.
