A High Court at the federal capital territory ( FCT ) Abuja has ordered that Maryam Sanda be sent to Suleja prison for allegedly killing her husband, Bilyamin Bello last week.
Sanda was arraigned before Justice Yusuf Halilu. The charge was read and a plea of “not guilty” made by her.
The Judge ordered that she be remanded in prison until December 7 when the matter comes up again.
The FCT police command had arraigned her on Friday and she wept profusely in the court, covered her face with a veil to prevent journalists from taking pictures.
Her few months old baby was also brought to the court with her.
She was arraigned for homicide and for inflicting bodily harm occasioning death.
Sanda allegedly stabbed her husband, Mohammed Bello to death based on the suspicion that he was cheating on her.
