Fuel crisis looms, queues return in Nigeria

Even though the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has denied any planned increase in the cost of premium moyor spirit( PMS)  long queues have surfaced at most filling stations in Lagos.

Virtually all gas stations on Lekki/ Epe Expressway were shut on Monday evening with the few selling fuel experiencing very lenghty queues.

The NNPC on Ssturday also said it has more than enough fuel to ho round furing and after the Yuletide and warned Nigetians againdt either panic buying or fuel storage in jerry cans during travels.

The NNPC managing director Maikanti Baru assured that there was no truth in the planned fuel increase by the organisation.

Nut on Monday in parts of Lagos, Nigerians were shocked to witness long queues on Lekki / Epe road which raised concern about looming fuel crisis.

President Muhammadu Buhari has always promised that the era of long queues when Nigerians keep vigil at gilling stations was over.
