Another set of Nigerians residing in Libya, this time, 257 returnees were in the early hours of Wednesday received in Lagos by officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
The returnees include four persons with different medical cases, that prompted the NEMA medical team on ground to attend to them first before whisking them away to the hospitals.
The returnee Nigerians were repatriated to the country with the assistance of IOM and European Union (EU), who provided logistics support.
South West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Suleiman Yakubu, who received the returnees on behalf of the director-general, Mustapha Maihajja, appealed to them that the federal government was working with state governments to ensure that they are taken care of.
A day earlier, 144 Nigerians also from Libya were brought home with the assistance of the Federal Government.
