Barely 48 hours the member of the House of Representatives representing Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency in Imo State, Raphael Nnanna Igbokwe defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC), another member, now from Edo State has followed suit.
Johnson Agbonayinma, elected on the ticket of the PDP on Thursday, December 21 announced his defection to the ruling APC.
Like what the governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha did when Igbokwe defected, the Edo State deputy governor, Phillip Shuaibu, was around at the gallery to witness Agbonayinma’s defection.
Agbonayinma who used to be a member of the Ali Modu-Sheriff faction of the PDP before the leadership battle of the party was resolved by the Supreme Court said: “The PDP has shut the door against me.”
A PDP chieftain from Edo told armadanews.com that Agbanayinma lacks character and and can be described as one of the few “food is ready politicians.”
