Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has raised the alarm that cows are hampering the smooth landing and taking off of aircraft at the Akure airport in Ondo State.
The governor said on Saturday, February 17 that cows took over the runaway of the airport and caused delay in landing.
He made the revelation via his Twitter page.
The governor said cows took over the runway of the airport while an Air Peace aircraft from Lagos tried to land, a situation that caused panic.
According to Fayose, the cows in the runway prevented the aircraft from landing for about 15 minutes.
