Abia APC Stakeholders Extol Uzodimma’s Leadership Qualities

All Progressives Congress (APC) party stakeholders from Abia State have conveyed their appreciation to Governor Hope Uzodimma over his sterling  leadership qualities that have affected the party in the entire South East geopolitical zone positively.

They said, for example, that Governor Uzodimma’s person has been instrumental to the APC’s increased acceptance by majority of the political class in the zone.

They said from his human relationship to investment in party matters, Governor Uzodimma has shown that he is extraordinary.

The stakeholders led by Prince Paul Ikonne, Director, National Agricultural Land Development Agency (NALDA), made the observations when they  paid a solidarity visit on the Imo Governor on Monday at Govt House, Owerri.

Receiving them in audience, Governor Uzodimma thanked them for the concern they have shown towards Imo State following the recent attack by hoodlums on Police stations and the Custodial Centre.

He said their visit underscored the need for the zone to come together as a people to  effectively tackle the issue of insecurity and make it a thing of the past.

“What is militancy, or  insurgency, what is insecurity when we have in our midst, retired and serving Generals , Senior Police Officers, both retired and serving. l think what has happened is just a way of waking our leaders to rise to the occasion,” he said.

Governor Uzodimma harped on the need for the South East to “shun all forms of distractions and jettison anything that would hinder the peace and development of the zone, focus on electing the leaders of choice,”  and highlighted  the “urgency of the  South East zone reintegrating into the national grid for better access to all benefits accruing to members of the  ruling party.”

He pointed out the need for the APC to win all the  states in South East in the future polls.

The  Abia APC stakeholders who spoke unanimously passed vote of confidence on  Uzodimma’s leadership and lauded the huge impact  he has made on the party within and outside the zone within a short period.

They called on all people of the zone irrespective of party, religious or ethnic affiliation, to come together to support the state and federal government to restore peace and security in the South East in particular and the country as a whole.

The stakeholders who attended the meeting included forner Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Azubuike Ihejirika,  former Diamond Bank Managing Director and two times Abia State governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti, Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha among other prominent Abians.
