German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been reelected for the fourth consecutive time.
Exit poll suggests her conservative CDU/ CSU Alliance has 32.5 percent of the votes cast in the federal election held on Sunday, September 24.
With that her party remaining the largest party in parliament in Germany, according to ARD poll.
Merkel told supporters of a better result and hinted of extra ordinary challenges.
Merkel is believed to be one of the strongest women leaders in the world according to analysts with most of them lauding Merkel’ s efforts in the area of refugees protection.
