The State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Imo State, Hon. McDonald Ebere, PhD, on behalf of members of the state executive committee, has congratulated the party’s senatorial candidates, Senator Osita Izunaso, Prince Dr. Alex Mbata and Hon. Patrick Nduwueze as well as   other candidates of the party, who emerged victorious at the just concluded party primaries.
In a statement signed by its state publicity secretary, Cajetan Duke, Ebere commended the party electoral officials, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) team, security agencies and the press for the successful conduct of the exercise, which has been adjudged as most peaceful, free, fair and credible.
The chairman also thanked party members, particularly all the aspirants for their show of sportsmanship and responsibility during and after the exercise, which according to him has placed our party on a strong foundation to pursue the forthcoming general election as a united family.
He urged the candidates to continue to engage and reach out to all relevant stakeholders of the party, including those who contested the primaries with them, in other to enhance cohesion, unity and stability within the party.
“As we settle down for the forthcoming general election, it is important to remind all party men and women that the ultimate goal remains the collective victory of our party at the polls, which overrides every other personal or individual victory.
“The leadership of our party therefore reiterates its commitment to continue to complement the effort of our Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma in building and making the APC to become a more vibrant, strong and most attractive political party in the state, with outstanding electoral fortune,” the Chairman stated.
