Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has said that the All Progressive Congress engineered the postponement of the presidential and governorship elections.

The Independent National Electoral commission rescheduled the presidential election and nàtional assembly elections billed for Saturday, February 16 to February 23 while the governorship and state assembly elections were shifted to March 9 from March 2.

Nigerians have condenmed the postponement with some calling for the resignation of INEC Chairman Yakubu  Mahmoud foe incompetence.

Mahmoud meets with stakeholders by 2pm today to throw more light on the postponement and way forward.

Governor Ortom said the APC was instrumental to the postponement because they are buying time to perfect rigging plan which he said will fail.

Ortom said Mahmoud was written by interested parties known to government to shift the election and that he was not surprised the Commission caved in because it is working for the APC.

He however said the INEC was only postponing the evil days because Nigerians will still vote the APC out no matter how many times the election is posted.
