The National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for April 24 and 25, 2017 respectively have been postponed.
The postponement is due to unexpected developments, according to a statement on Thursday, April 20 signed by Bolaji Abdullahi, the APC National Publicity Secretary.
“New dates for the meetings will be communicated in due course,” Abdullahi said.
However, feelers from the party indicates that the covert internal wrangling that has gripped the APC is one of the issues the party is desirous of dealing.
There were also indications on Thursday that the party wants to get the buy in of President Muhammadu Buhari who is believed not to be in very good health condition to attend the meeting.
“The President must be in attendance at the meetings, but for now, that cannot be guaranteed,” a source close to the party leadership said.
