The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Saturday, October 2 for its state congresses across the country.
National Secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Senator James Akpanudoedehe, announced this in a statement on Monday.
According to Akpanudoedehe, the party’s leadership has scheduled Wednesday to commence the sale of forms for the exercise.
The ruling party held its ward congresses in various states in the country on July 31.
At the end of the state congresses, the APC would conduct zonal congresses after which its national convention would be held for the election of a new crop of its National Working Committee (NWC).
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni and others had been appointed by the party’s leadership to take over the affairs of the party following the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) over a protracted leadership crisis.
