The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) will field candidate for the 2019 presidential election.

The APGA ran for the presidency last when the late chieftain, Chukwuemeka  Odimugwu Ojukwu was still alive.

Analysts have always kicked against the party not fielding candidates for the highest office of the land since Ojukwu died.

But at the meeting of the APGA board of trustees on Friday, the members said they will field candidate for the 2019 presidential election.

The party added that the presidency for next year’s poll had been zoned to the North while the South East will provide the Vice President.

Other key offices were also slated for zoning.

The meeting was at the instance of Governor Willie Obiano who happens to be the BOT chairman.

Senate Victor Umeh, former APGA natilnal chairman, Victor Oye, current National Chairman,  Dr. Alex Otti, governorship aspirant for Abia State, Alhaji Shinkafi, the National Secretary,  Binca Ojukwu, among others attended the meeting held Awka, the Anambra state capital.
