Atiku files case in tribunal to challenge Buhari’s victory

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2019 presidential election has formally filed hoa case at the Election Tribunal to challenge the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress in the election.

Atiku did on Monday in company of PDP leaders like the chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, his counsel and supporters.

Buhari was declared winner of the presidential election held on Saturday February 23 by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Buhari defeated Atiku with more than  14 million votes.

But Atiku and his party believe the election was massively rigged and corrupted to favour Buhari and his party

Atiku’s lead counsel at the tribunal is Chief Chris Uche, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
