Peoples’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the February 23 election, Atiku Abubakar has beaten his opponent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Enugu state, Prof Joseph Ahaneku who announced the result on Monday said that Atiku scored 355,553 votes from 17 Local Government Areas of the state to beat Buhari who got 54,423.
He said the total number of registered voters as 1,935,168 while accredited voters are 452,765.
Also, the total vote cast stands was 451,063, valid vote 421,014 while 30,049 votes were rejected.
