In remarks today, President Donald Trump has claimed electoral fraud without basis warning the US would be “disgraced” by an “unfair” election, while Biden has asked his supporters to stay calm and believe in the democratic process.
With millions of votes yet to be tabulated, Biden has already received more than 73 million votes, the most in US history. You can watch live coverage of the count here.
Trump’s campaign has engaged in a flurry of legal activity, requesting a recount in Wisconsin and filing lawsuits in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia.
Protests emerged in a number of locations across the US. In Chicago and New York, largely Democrat crowds marched in support of all votes being counted, while in Michigan, Trump supporters protested at a counting centre. The Herald.
