The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) has applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the successful and peaceful conduct of the just concluded Ondo State Governorship election.
It did on Tuesday, November 29, through a press statement signed by the Muhammad Labbo and Cassidy Madueke, chairman and secretary respectively of the BMSG, where they attributed the successful conduct of the election to the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to free, fair and credible elections bereft of any form of undue interference.
The group observed that Buhari as a committed democrat was determined to lay the foundation for government institutions like INEC to function effectively in the overall interest of the whole country.
The BMSG praised the INEC for discharging the task without any bias and within the time frame slated for the election, and acknowledged that the victory of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the Ondo election was a clear indication of Nigerians’ faith in the party and the Buhari administration.
While acknowledging the feat achieved with the Ondo election, the group also congratulated the governor-elect Rotimi Akeredolu and urged him to utilise the mandate in delivering good governance and democracy dividends to the Ondo people.
The BMSG urged Nigerians to repose faith in the Buhari administration and continue to lend their unalloyed support to enable it succeed in building the Nigeria of our collective dream.
