Boris Johnson has been elected the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and leader of the Conservative Party.
He replaces Theresa May who resigned recently over complications in the Brexit.
Johnson, on Tuesday polled a total of 159,320 after a ballot with Tory members to defeat Jeremy Hunt who polled 46, 656.
Effective Wednesday, July 24, Johson takes over from May as head of the UK parliament.
The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump has already congratulated Johnson ahead of Wednesday’s take-over.
