President Muhammadu Buhari will leave for the United Kingdom on Friday, August 3 for a 10 holidays.

While on vacation, Buhari’s deputy, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will function as president in acting capacity.

Buhari on Wednesday wrote to the office of the Senate President and that of the Speaker of the House of Representatives intimating them of his vacation and the need to have his deputy act on his behalf

The constitution of the country makes it madatory for the president to transmit a letter to the National Assembly if he is on vacation.

Buhari has always done so each time he was travelling outside the country either for cacation or on mefical check up.

On this particular instance it is believed that Buhari will use the opportunity to once again assess the position his health.

The last time he travelled to the United States for a meeting with President Donald Trump, Buhari stopped over in London to see his doctors even though his handlers denied the stop over was for that purpose.
