President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the sack of Abdulrasheed Maina, former Pension boss who was recalled recently by the Minister of Internal Affairs Abdulrahman Danbazzau.
Maina has been at the centre of multi billion Naira pension scam which led to his being relieved of his position and declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crisis Commission.
He was reportedly recalled last week while Buhari was away in Turkey for official meeting by Danbazzau.
On Monday the president asked for Maina to be sacked and for the report of his recall order to be forwarded to his office through his chief of staff, Abba Kyari before the close of work today, Monday, October 23.
Femi Adesina, presidential spojesman issued a statement for Buhari in that regard.
