The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Eze Madumere, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will emerge victorious in the forthcoming February 16 presidential election because his administration has put the country on the right path of development.
Madumere who spoke during All Progressives Congress mother of rallies in his Mbaitoli local government of Imo State commended the President for his consistency in ensuring that the developmental policies of his administration are procedurally and steadily undergoing implementation.
“For me our President, Muhammadu Buhari has been consistent with his policies and it’s implementation. In the South East, all that he has promised have either been realised or on course. I don’t need to go far to convince anybody of the achievement of President Buhari. The second Niger Bridge project has got off ground and it is ongoing. Rehabilitation of our major highways are ongoing.
“Agricultural revolution has continued to impress us, with special attention to rice production. I also believe that Igbo Presidency will come to fruition with President Buhari for his forthrightness and belief in equity and one indivisible Nigeria.”
Addressing his kinsmen last Saturday, Madumere admonished his them to vote APC all through, warning against wasting their votes on those who are already known failures. He made a clarion call on Imo people to join Senator Hope Uzodinma in the journey of recovering Imo State from the clutches of misrule and impunity.
He warned trouble makers to stay away from Mbaitoli as the people will not tolerate any act that will undermine the will of the people.
“For those of you who think that they can intimidate our people, please have a rethink because our people do not tolerate any act that will infringe on their rights and freedom. I urge them to stay away from Mbaitoli and allow them to vote their conscience.”
Meanwhile, Senator Hope Uzodinma promised to change the marginalisation of the local government by the present government led by Governor Rochas Okorocha. He  said that a local government like Mbaitoli should be given all the necessary attention because of its strategic location in the State and it’s tumultuous population.
He pledged to work with the Deputy Governor to ensure that Mbaitoli people recover all that they have lost from the injustices of the present administration.
He also promised to recover  every property that was illegally and improperly acquired and hand them over back to the owners, describing such primitive accumulation of wealth as unfortunate and wicked.
