Calm returns to Numan after police/ herdsmen clash

Numan community in Adamawa State is now calm after the clash involving policemen and herdsmen on Friday which led to the death of four policemen.

It was on a day the Primate of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh advised the herdsmen to advise themselves on the incessant attack on other Nigerians.

Okoh said in Ife headquarters of Mbaise Anglican Diocese that the Fulani herdsmen cannot live in Nigeria alone no matter what they do.

” They canmot live in Nigeria alone. They must understand that fact and then adise themselves,” Okoh said on Saturday.The herdsmen have resorted to attacking and killing people across the country, particularly those from areas where their criminal herding activities have been complained about.

Following the clash in Numan the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris deployed more if his men to the place to quell further ugly incidents.

The role of his men were complemented by those of the soldiers.
