The monetary policy committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) voted Tuesday to retain the monetary policy rate (MPR) at 11.5 percent with the asymmetric corridor of +100/-700 basis points.
Other key monetary policy parameters left unchanged by the committee were: Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR), which was retained at 27.5 percent and Liquidity ratio (30%).
The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, announced the committee’s decisions on Tuesday at the end of its two-day meeting, which is the last meeting for the year.
