Charles Oputa aka Charly Boy, national coordinator of the #OurMumuDonDo movement, together with other members of the group were in Benue State on Thursday, August 3 to inaugurate the Benue chapter of the movement.

He said his own generation had failed the younger ones by creating unsuitable environment for the younger ones, and he advised them not to continue to agonize over the deplorable condition of the country but to rise up and take their future in their hands.
His words: “Since independence we have been faced with so many problems, we have the past leaders telling us that the future belongs to the youth but they have occupied the space and left no space for young people to grow but it is time for a paradigm shift from the old order.”
Charly Boy said h was optimistic the youths can get a Nigeria that is befitting for them adding that the only thing the youths need is to change their attitude. “As area father am only here to encourage them,” he promised.
Charly Boy said the movement is collaborating with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to sensitise the youths on how to participate fully in future elections.
On whether his group is comfortable with the “not too young to run bill’, he said he is suspicious of the bill because, “I hope the people did not come out with the bill to ensure that their children take over from them.”
