The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has adjourned the trial of the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, indefinitely.
Chairman of the Tribunal, Danladi Umar announced the indefinite adjournment at the resumed sitting in Abuja on Monday.
Onnoghen was suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, January 25 and replaced with Justice Tanko Mohammed who was also sworn in immediately.
Buhari said he was acting based on an order from the tribunal to replace Onnoghen.
Umar adjourned the proceedings pending the determination of the application filed at the Court of Appeal by the embattled CJN.
