A federal high court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital on Monday barred the All Progressive Congress from taking part in the forthcoming general election in Rivers state over disobedience to court order.
Justice Kolawole Omotosho who presided over the case before the court by senator Magnus Abe ruled that the APC lacks the locus standi to present camdidates for the governorship, senatorial, house of representatives and house of assembly elections foe disobeying an order of the court earlier given by a high court presided by justice Chinenye Nwogu.
Omotosho ruled therefore that both the direct and indirect pramaries held in Rivers State by the APC have neen declared null and void and to no effect.
He said the ruling became imperative to serve as a deterrent to politicians who take the order of the court lightly and deliberately stand the judiciary on the head
