Court of Appeal orders CCT to stay action on CJN Onnoghen

A three-man panel of the Court of Appeal, presided over by Hon Justice Abdul Aboki has ordered Code of Conduct Tribunal to stay action in the ongoing trial of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, pending the hearing and determination of the case on Appeal.

Hearing of the substantive case at the court of appeal is adjourned to January 30, 2019 for the Court of Appeal to decide whether or not the CCT has jurisdiction to proceed with the trial of CJN Onnoghen.
