Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has reconciled Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and enstranged Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Dangote did at the weekend joined by Governor Kauode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
Dangote comes from Kano while Fayemi is the chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and fellow All Progressive Congress member.
Ganduje and Sanusi have been having running battle lately over what is obviously related to politics.
The governor has balkanised the domain of Sanusi by creating four additional emirates and appointing emirs in the same rank with Sanusi.
The government caused an investigation into the finances of the Kano Emirate to be carried out whose finding has indicted Sanusi.
Ganduje had issued a query to Sanusi on the alleged indictment and the outcome is tension that has gripped the city of Kano.
Residents are living in fear as nobody knows who is behind the important of bandits called Yan Daba into the state apparently waiting to be deployed for voolence.
Dangote and Fayemi were said to have told Ganduje to think of the larger implications of the face off on his government and the wellbeing of the citizens.
The governor had agreed to peaceful reconciliation but nobody knows if he will keep to his words as some prominent personalities had earlier intervened but he remained undaunted in his resolve to remove Sanusi.
