Indigenes of Benue State taking refuge in Nasarawa State after series of attacks by herdsmen in Benue have returned home.

They returned en mass on Saturday  with mixed feelings.

The refugees have been hybernating in some Internally Displaced Persons camps in Nasarawa following attacks on them by herdsmen at their ancestral homes.

Most of the Benue indigenes who ended up in the Nasarawa IDPs had their homes completely razed and their loved ones killed.

A large number if them were forced to flee when herdsmen invaded their villages killing them in their numbers early this year for which mass burial was carried out.
