After 10 years of being in the saddle at the Debt Management Office (DMO), the tenure of the Director-General, Dr. Abraham Nwankwo comes to an end Friday, June 30.

Nwankwo was appointed into the office on June 30, 2007 and has served under three presidents – Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Goodluck Jonathan and now Muhammadu Buhari.

A seasoned financial expert and astute scholar, Nwankwo has made valuable impact and has contributed to the shaping and development of the Nigerian bond market and the debt capital markets during the years under review.

Nwankwo is believed to have helped in the growth of Nigeria’s financial markets in particular and the Nigerian economy in general.

Already, many financial institutions have indicated interest in hosting Nwankwo over a job well done.
