….Wigwe says merger with Diamond bank will create financial power house

Herbert Wigwe, the Group Managing Director of Access Bank Plc has assured staff of the Diamond Bank that there will not be job loses as a result of the merger.
He also said its merger with Diamond Bank will lead to the creation of a financial power house in the country.
He spoke at a joint media briefing in Lagos on the new business relationship with diamond bank.
It was on a day the CEO of Diamond Bank, Uzoma Dozie, who was also at the briefing, said the bank chose to merge with Access Bank to preserve value.
Wigwe had also assured staff of Diamond Bank that the deal would not lead to job losses.
Wigwe said Access Bank had enough capital to consummate the deal.
