Former Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State will soon be a guest of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as the operatives intensify efforts to unravel the brains behind all the property they have sealed off in Owerri linked to the senator.
Seven choice property ranging from schools to supermarket and hotels have been taken over by the EFCC with Okorocha raising the alarm that the Imo state government under Emeka Ihedioha was responsible.
But the EFCC gave reasons for the seizures on a statement on Wednesday.
Sources close to the Commission told Armadanews.com tjat Okorocha had been invited for interogation on the matter and other issues linked to alleged corruption while in office.
The source said Okorocha was being investigated for nearly six years shortly after his election as governor.
“He has been invited to speak to our operatives and the choice is his to honour the invitation. He is no longer covered by immunity and he knows the implications of not honouring our invitation,” the source said.
The source said the Commission was aware Okorocha plans to procure court order to stop his arrest and frustrate investigation.
