Governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Uzodimma has called on our Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria to apply the virtues of love, peace, humility and selflessness in their everyday living in line with the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.
He said application of such characteristics became compelling now that Nigeria is undergoing transformation, and that their prayers and those of other Nigerians are needed to get the country of our dream to the desired destination.
The thoughts of Governor Uzodimma were contained in a message he personally wrote on his social media handle in commemoration of this year’s Eid- el- Maulud celebrated across the country and beyond.
While also extending his felicitation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Muslim Ummah, the Governor solicited prayers from all and sundry this period as the President and his Deputy stir the ship of the transformation of Nigeria.
Governor Uzodimma’s message read: “On behalf of the Government and the good people of Imo State, I extend my warmest felicitations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Muslim Ummah in our State, Nigeria, and the world over, as they celebrate Eid el-Maulud.
“As we celebrate this season, we must continue to reflect on the noble virtues of love, humility, peace and selflessness, applying them to our everyday lives.
“Our country is at a transformative stage, and our prayers are essential as we navigate through these times, overcoming challenges and emerge stronger for the greater good of all.
“Happy Eid el-Maulud.”
