The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday, stormed Ikere-Ekiti in continuation of his campaign.

He was joined by thousands of his supporters.
Addressing the crowd, Fayemi promised to alleviate the suffering of people of Ekiti State if voted into office on July 14.

Also on Monday Fayemi continued his campaign tours of the local governments of the state with visits to some communities in Ijero Local Government to sell his campaign programmes to voters.

He told the people that he will return Ekiti to prosperity.

In company of party leaders, Fayemi addressed rallies at Iroko, Oke Oro and Ilukuno, among others, where he told voters that a prosperous Ekiti State is possible.

He enjoined voters to vote for honest leadership with the right vision to take Ekiti State back to the path of growth and development after three years of deceits and reversal of fortunes.

He promised to return all the empowerment and development schemes that Governor Ayodele Fayose cancelled to restore hope in the people, promising also to provide free education, social security for the elderly people and ensure regular payment of salary, among other programmes that can make a fundamental change in the life of the people.

He urged voters to beware of lies to mislead them into slavery, saying time had come for Ekiti people to return to the past of prosperity and abundance.

He dispelled rumour by the opposition that he would sack teachers and local government workers, saying that the workers had done nothing to warrant their sack.

He also assured of the resuscitation of his rural development schemes, saying local population needed to be provided with facilities that could strengthen their capacities for productive living.

Fayemi regretted that some of the communities roads were in bad shapes. He promised to rehabilitate Iroko, Ilkuno, Oke Oro and Temidire roads, to make the communities more accessible.

He said the APC administration would provide amenities that would endure good life for the people at the grassroots through rural development initiative if elected in the July 14 poll.

He urged the people to vote for good life and development, saying his plan was to build on the development agenda he started between 2010 and 2014, even as he urged the people to see APC as a better alternative to the government of deceit that cared less about the welfare and development of the people.
