The election in Bauchi reportedly went on smoothly with the exception of am incident where ballot box was snatched by hoodlums but the electorate chased after the ballot box snatchers and recovered it.

The turnout was also impressive as the electorate said they have an obligation to prove the  enemies of democracy wrong in the state.

Many Bauchi indigenes werw said to have returned from their different places residence across the country to come and cast their ballot for the governor of their choice.

Many of the politicians who had planned to approach the electorate with money in order to manipulate them amd change their voting pattern were humilliated amd chased away openly.

The women among the electorate booed amd taunted the politicians as they were being pursued out of the polling stations.

The sitting governor of Bauchi, Mohammed Abubakar of the APC was losing to the candidate of the PDP in the March 9 governorship election before the election was declared inconclusive by rhe INEC and rescheduled it for 9Saturday March 23.
