Fayose meets N50m bail condition, leaves EFCC custody

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has eventually regained his temporary freedom from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), fulfilling his bail conditions on Monday.

Fayose was granted bail of N50 million by the court last week with sureties asked to deposit same amount as bond before Fayose could be freed.

Fayose is being investigated for alleged money laundering and enrichment of self while in office as governor.

On Monday, October 29, Fayose left the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, meeting all the bail conditions.

Fayose was in the EFCC custody for a total 13 days before he was eventually freed.

His matter comkes up on November 19.
