Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geofrey Onyeama has recovered from coronavirus after testing negative to the virus.
He disclosed this on his official Twitter on Wednesday morning. The minister announced: “By the very special grace of God my latest #COVID19 test result came back negative after three weeks isolation.
Onyeama, who has been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 in Nigeria, had on July 19 announced that he tested positive to COVID-19 and would be proceeding on isolation, in line with the guidelines put in place by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The minister had said his fourth COVID-19 test came out positive and he had developed symptoms of throat irritation.
“That is life! win some lose some. Heading for isolation in a health facility and praying for the best,” he tweeted in July.
