Wife of President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe, Grace accused of assaulting a lady last week in South Africa and expected to face charges has returned to her country.
Mrs. Mugabe was interrogated by the South African police over the incident and was to appear in court when she shunned the court.
There were speculations as to whether she was still in South Africa or had escaped last week.
But on Sunday reports confirmed that Mrs. Mugabe had returned to Zimbabwe, an indication diplomatic talks may have played a role in her being asked to go.
A lady claimed Grace assaulted her when she had visited the hotel where her sons who happen to be her friends invited her to.
The lady had approached the South African police to press charges which obviously Mrs. Mugabe escaped from.
